how to rock dinner in dc... sushi capitol.  do yourself a favor and just order the chefs special tasting menu.   this multi-course meal will not disappoint with flavor and portions to satisfy the most particular of tastes and appetites.  this gem is tiny, has limited seating times and fast becoming a dc dining favorite so reservations are highly recommended.

sushi capitol.  325 pennsylvania avenue, se.  { 202.627.0325}  hours of operation:  mon-fri 2-230 / 5-930  saturday 5-930 sunday closed.  last seating is at 9pm.  casual to dressy, reservations recommended however walk-in are welcome.  enjoy!

holy mackerel, this is good.  featured above is the the main star of the chefs tasting menu in my opinion.  its a visually stunning perfectly arranged sushi plate designed to eat in a certain order to entice and excite your pallet (your server will be happy to explain this further).   the chef prepares each piece with the perfect blend of flavors, i suggest forgoing the soy and wasabi, perfection!

i don't know if it was the oysters, the sake, or my main squeeze but this place put me in the mood.  just throwing that out there for the daters. hint hint...

speaking of sake!  there is quite a selection of warm and cold sakes accompanied by little mismatched traditional japanese cups that are sure to charm you.  hidden gems and a night of surprises is what this place is all about.  have a good dinner from the glamour collective.
